Sorry Grooms but I think only Bride’s truly know what effort goes in to planning and organising a wedding. It’s almost military precision together with meticulous attention to detail to have and enjoy such a special day.
I met Lesley-ann at the Lynnhurst Hotel in Johnstone a few weeks before her wedding to run through the finer details. I’ve filmed at this hotel before and have to say it’s a particular favourite. It’s a beautiful setting and the recent additions to the garden make it even more so.

Lesley-ann mentioned when we met that whilst in the planning stages she was very much in control but she realised on her wedding day she would be handing over the reins and relying on all her wedding suppliers to do their bit for her, Kevin and all their guests. From their wedding photographer to their florist, from their wedding videographer to their venue, we all have such an important part to play in the events of a couple’s wedding day.
Lesley-ann and Kevin married on Saturday 28th April. It was a lovely day, enjoyed by the many guests who attended. We had ‘Pirate Pete’ brought in to entertain the children and the candy buffet for those with a sweet tooth. Their wedding cake was made by a friend and that made it hugely personal for them.
But one of the loveliest things from the day was the fact that on the very same day 50 years ago, Lesely-ann’s grandparent’s married. This was the reason for choosing the 28th April!
Many congratulations Lesley-ann & Kevin and all the very best for your future together.
