Glencorse House, near Edinburgh – Mr & Mrs McWilliams Wedding Highlights from Lorraine Bhandari on Vimeo.
Living and working in Scotland you quickly realise why the landscape’s so green – yes the weather! It’s British summertime, well at least that’s what they say and many couples choose a ‘summer’ wedding in this green and pleasant land. And why not: there are lots of fabulous venues, beautiful settings as well as great food and entertainment to make your wedding a truly memorable and joyous occasion.
June is always a very popular month for couples to get married and unfortunately this year, it has been confirmed as the wettest month since records began.
I met Elaine and David at their wedding venue a couple of months ago and it was clear they had a real vision for their wedding. They fell in love with Glencorse House and it was easy to see why. It’s an exclusive venue with a 17th century old Kirk to perform your ceremony and then a marquee on the lawn to celebrate your reception.
They married on Saturday 16th June 2012 on what turned out to be the worst weather I’ve ever had the pleasure to film in. The rain didn’t let up at all, the clouds stayed low in the sky but their wedding will certainly be remembered for much more than a Scottish summer’s day. It was beautiful in lovely surroundings and thank you both for choosing me to film your wedding day. Very best wishes to you both!
