I met Jenny and John a couple of weeks ahead of their wedding day at the Piersland House Hotel in Troon. This was my first visit to the popular wedding venue and was impressed by the gardens and hotel features which would provide a lovely background for photographs.
They married on Saturday 10th March and apart from a minor hiccup with a forgotten Flower Girl’s dress which was quickly put right, everything went really well for them. I was so glad the weather held out too for the couple on their big day as it meant we were able to take the photos outside in the gardens.
It was a humanist ceremony which I always find uniquely personal and it included some traditional elements such as drinking from the quaich and hand fasting.
I provided Wedding Photography coverage up until the official cake cutting. And by the time I was leaving the speeches were in full flow and from the guest reactions, they were being well received!
